Topic: Noah an ark builder
Today’s Reading: Heb 11:7
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. KJV
Words of the Ministry:
Today we are looking at another hero of faith called Noah. Noah who later became the second father of the human race lived in a generation where it was abnormal to be normal, a time where sin and sinful living was the only lifestyle. Noah had to contend with an evil so bad that even God could not bear. Due to the fall of man and the corruption of man by fallen angels, the evil of mankind became so great that God asked Noah to build what would later be known as an ark, the bible states the project took him about 120 years to build, Noah kept warning humanity of an impending flood that would wipe out man and animal race except for those that repent and join him in the ark.
The story of Noah is so challenging that one may dedicate a whole book to it, Noah built an ark for 120 years and all through his life up until he was over 600 years he never experienced a flood but believed it because God said so. Noah became an engineer, and architect and a ship builder without any prior training. He built an unusual structure in his days without prior training only by taking instructions from God. The account also said Noah raised his children in a godly way and his children also picked godly wives. It was one thing that Noah could live righteously but raising godly children was another thing in a world of sin. So we could see that while Noah had his daily job, built his ark, he still had the time to raise his children. He most likely must have influenced the wives of his son as we never read that their own parents were righteous yet the women (Sons wives) were obedient to enter the ark.
One could only imagine the frustration and persecution Noah had to live with, he must have been called unprintable names, laughed at and probably asked if he had ever heard in history that God destroyed humanity with flood., some would have asked him why a loving God would destroy man that was made in his image and likeness. I can imagine his in-laws advising his wife and his daughter in-laws to be that Noah must have gone insane or is suffering from age related ailment. Noah would have had to explain himself to everyone, even his wife and children would have questioned why they should use a tree that normally should serve as fire wood to make an ark.
Saints time would not permit us to explore the riches in the life of Noah but check with your experience, how much of God do you obey, are you building your home, business or ministry according to pattern. Are you ready to spend several years like Noah obeying God rather than being influenced to trend like others today? Do you still have time for your family despite your so called work of God? Can it be said that your children are different in these age of sexual perversion and immorality. How do you respond when people question you about the rapture, the destruction of humanity and the end of sin and Satan, Are you shy to publicly stand for the bible or are you intimidated by scientific question they pose to shame you and make you look like a fool. May the lord grant us grace to stand with him like Noah in the ark of salvation which is Jesus Today, amen.
