27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. NIV
Words of the Ministry:
Yesterday we saw the meaning of Life as defined by Jesus, we did emphasize on the word “know”, we said it connote to have an intimate relationship with God. We said to know God meant to know him beyond the surface as our God but to live within the veil, references were made to other usage of the word know as in the case of Adam and Eve, the 1o virgins, Paul and Moses. Today we would spend some time on Jesus and how he lived out the ZOE in him.
Looking into the Life of Jesus we see the Zoe life in operation, the gospel is full of instances where he healed the sick, cleansed the leper, raise the dead and cast out devils. The bible said all of this was done through the father in him. In Jesus was a man who was in dominion over nature and devils (Mat 8.27, 29). We could say before the death on the cross, Jesus was the only normal man, he was the only one in the father and the father was in him (Jhn 14.11) little wonder he said he was in the kingdom ( Luk 17.20-21) as the king of the kingdom was in him.
Jesus during his earthly walk was the light of the world (Jhn 8.12), Many testified of it in Matt 4.16, Nicodemus a Pharisee in Jhn 3.2 said he knew he was from God because they saw the light. Little wonder the bible says our Spirit is God’s candle (Pro. 20.27), when he comes into us as life he lightens our spirit with the light of life, then we can say we are the light of the world Mat 5.14-16, unfortunately many do not shine the light, Christ commanded us to let it so shine so that men can see and glorify the father.
Saints, as we see the prayer of Jesus in John 17:20-23 : “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” We come to the conclusion that indeed the will of God is that we live like Christ, hence we have the father in us, we are to know him, have a continuous experiential growth in the God-life to bring great glory to God, may the Lord grant us light.
