Words of the Ministry:
We have learnt within the week, how God planned to redeem his choice creation mankind, despite being holy, he made a way for us through the blood. In the old covenant, man could approach him through the blood of animal sacrifice, although man had some degree of fellowship with God, we realized that God was not satisfied as his goal was to dwell in man, to make man his matching counterpart in life and nature. Animal sacrifices purged man’s flesh and covered his sin but couldn’t purge his conscience and blot out his sin.
In the New covenant, Christ the Lamb of God came to die for mankind. His atoning death fulfilled God’s righteous demand as he was perfectly sinless and his blood was eternal being both God and man, he was fitting for our atonement and through his death we have peace with God, we are declared righteous and partakers of the heavenly blessings. The initial fall of man affected the 3 parts of man namely, the Spirit, Soul and the Body. Through Jesus’ substitutionary work, God had healed our Spirit through regeneration, our soul is being renewed and transformed from the Spirit and our bodies is being healed and in future would be glorified.
This may sound so easy and simple, some may even say it is too good to be true, I like to encourage you, if unsaved to take advantage of God’s great offer, the death of Christ on the cross answered the divine judgment against every sin. God is uncompromised in His holiness. God justifies the sinner who does nothing more than believe in Jesus. He can remain just and righteous because of the substitutionary death of Christ who paid the debt for the believing sinner. The resurrection of Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit are proof that God is satisfied with the death of Christ for our sins 1John 4.10, 1 John 2:2. If you are unsaved, confess the Lordship of Christ and accept his sacrificial work in faith today.
