1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Exo 31:2 -5
2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
Words of the Ministry:
Yesterday we spent some quality time on God’s organic work within us as the light of the world, we emphasized that for a quality work to be done through us, God must have his way with us, we must therefore put away the old man and his works to be permeable for the spirit. Today we want to look at the consequence of this in the larger society. How we can ensure we give no room to the devil in our society. Although the world is in thick darkness of sin, sickness, wickedness, poverty and death, God has sent the church to rescue the drowning world. We are to bring solution to the world not only by gospel peaching which is a duty for all believers but by bringing to bear the various graces God has endowed us with, should we notice a gap in our society, we must also seek God for the empowerment to fill it.
From today’s reading, we see the author saying Christ has been made wisdom unto us, this means that Christ has become our wisdom. Therefore, we do not function with human wisdom but with an excellent wisdom. A lot of Christians were never taught how to take advantage of that which Christ has made available unto them. To have a good understanding of what I mean, we would need to consider the second reading, the account is about the children of Israel when they were about building the tabernacle. God told Moses he had given certain men the spirit of wisdom to carry our certain craft, in other words, as we can see from the passage (Exo 31.1-11), individual that were goldsmith, brick layers, iron benders, fashion designers, carpenters etc carried out such task by divine inspiration and empowerment of God’s wisdom.
Now we know that Christ as wisdom to us makes every believer have a supernatural ability to carry out certain tasks that would bring solution to the society, yours could be in entertainment, sport, industry, business, science, engineering, banking, medicine etc, we are to take the center stage of providing solutions to the common problems of mankind. That is the divine edge, The bible in Gen 6. 1-4 said when the sons of God (fallen angels) met with the daughters of men, their corrupt seed were men of renown in those days, they were men that stood out, prominent men that turned their world around, how much more you born of God. Saints, we have no excuse, in addition to our natural wisdom, we have Christ been made wisdom to us, we are to function at a higher frequency, we should not be relegated to the bottom, we should not be known for chanting amen and amen, we are the light of the world, we should solve the problem of our world, giving no room to the devil.
