Mat 5.16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Eph 6:12-13
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Words of the Ministry:
Within the week, we have seen the ministry of the believer as God’s rescue against in this dying world, we have seen that without the believers, the world would have been in a worse situation. The only thing pushing darkness back is the presence of light. Contrary to what the world tries to preach, if we remove the Church from the early today, the world becomes inhabitable, so would it be after the rapture of the Church but while the church is here, we are to shine the light, the knowledge of the glorious light of God must fill the earth as water covers the sea.
Yesterday we did emphasize that saints are to take their lead role in all human endeavors because they have a natural edge, we learnt that Christ as wisdom gives us a supernatural advantage, we are meant to be reference point of excellency in all we undertake. I like to further comment on that today. The devil and his seed from Genesis as agents of darkness have always been against the Light, as we carry out our God given task of shinning the light of God, the devil too does all he can through the unsaved to frustrate us, this he does by instigating men and engaging demons to work against our activities.
As light bearers, we must therefore remind ourselves that we are at war, that is what it means to let your light so shine, we must increase the expression of the God life in us by engaging in prayers against the evil wiles of the enemy. Many saints would notice a consistent challenge in the place of work, health, business, finances, children, with their spouse or even their local Church as they set out to fulfil God’s mandate, that is a pointer to the fact that as light bearers, we are also warriors, the world hates the light because her deeds are evil. When we make up our minds to take the lead in our endeavor, to stop the crime and corruption in our society, we must expect a counter attack from the enemy but glory to God we are more than conquerors. To adequately shine the light we must engage in warfare as our second reading emphasizes and that should be done by prayers, may the Lord grant us light.
