Words of the Ministry

One of the mysteries of the Christian life is that God often displays His strength through human weakness. This is contrary to natural thinking, where strength is associated with dominance and absence of limitation. Paul experienced a thorn in the flesh and prayed for its removal, but God responded by revealing a higher principle: divine strength is perfected in weakness. In other words, we need to be weak to experience the excellence of his might.

This teaches us that suffering is not always removed because it can become a platform for divine expression. When human ability fails, divine ability becomes visible. Many believers are still struggling because they think God only works when they are strong. But God intentionally allows weakness so that His strength can be revealed. When we allow God have his way, after the period of trials and sufferings, we would most likely look back and ask ourselves how we even navigated that season.

Weakness, when surrendered, becomes a doorway for grace. It is in those moments of limitation that believers learn dependence, humility, and deeper trust in God. God is not glorified by self-sufficiency, but by dependency. When we are weak, then we are strong—not by contradiction, but by divine supply.

This is when we see the role of the Holy Spirit being properly projected, in situations when we admit that by our strength we can do nothing, then we agree with God that indeed we are dead and our life is lived through the spirit of the indwelling son by faith, God in eternity past never wanted man to be self sufficient, he always wanted us to trust in him, little wonder he visited man daily even when man could not visit him just to ensure he sees into the daily affairs of our lives. We must therefore see that one of the reasons for our prolonged challenges is because we have not realised that our true strength is not in our learning, finances, connection or even our prayers rather it is in being totally surrendered on him to direct our path. May the Lord grant us light.
