Topic: Prayers for our Jerusalem
Today’s Reading: Isa 62:7-9
7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. KJV
Words of the Ministry:
Amen, today is the first day of our fast and we would be praying for our country. It is an obvious fact that if our country is at war, the church, our families and businesses would be greatly affected. It is therefore expedient we pray the will of God to be done, we must ensure our society is brought under the control of God. A vast majority of believers would always tie the evil happening to the fulfilment of end-time prophecies but what they fail to consider is that the same bible prophesied about the glorious events that would take place in the end-time for instance the bible prophesied that the knowledge of God would cover the earth as water covers the sea (Hab 2.14), the bible says God would pour his Spirit upon all flesh and the young and old shall prophesy and see visions (Joel 2.28), the bible teaches the church would do greater works (Jhn 14.12) and there would be greater glory in the latter days (Hag 2.9-12) . As we are being watchful of the evil of the last days, we must be deliberate midwives for the expected testimonies.
The Bible in Ps 122:6-9 says “6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. 7 Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces. 8 For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, Peace be within you. 9 Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good|. NKJV. I like us with commitment and intensity pray this few prayer point and you can add some more as the Lord leads you.
- Let’s thank God for the continued existence of our country (Fill the name of your country) and that we know he care about our national wellbeing.
- Let us pray that God should forcefully collect the administration of our country from hijackers and he should expose all those behind banditry, terrorism and corruption in Nigeria.
- Let us commit the forth coming election to God and ask that God choose a leader after his heart and put all evil plotter to public shame.
- Let us pray for a national revival, salvation of soul and transformation of lives, pray that all agenda of the antichrist against Christianity be put to shame.
- Let’s pray for national peace and prosperity, Let’s pray that the glory of our country be restored among the community of nations.
