6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, 7 And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. NKJV
Words of the Ministry:
Saints, our Peniel encounter comes up in 8 days, that is next week Sunday and being a special meeting to celebrate our first year anniversary, we intend to use this week to prepare us spiritually for it by considering the theme the watchmen. It will be a spiritual week of prayers and fasting starting on Tuesday to Sunday (23rd -28th August) and we would like to encourage you to partake of the prayers in your respective locations. Also spread the word, announce to friend and family, invite them for this special occasion and God would richly reward you. See attached poster for details.
From creation, it has been God’s intention to set man over the affairs of the earth, Adam was the first man from the created race, he was to watch over the earth, God gave him a commission in Gen 1.26-28, notice the word subdue (overcome), that was an indication there was an enemy trying to usurp the earth, i.e the devil. Adam was to do this from a little location on earth i.e the garden of Eden. Just as the Lord is counting on us as his watchmen to effect a change from our various locations. Again we see Abraham from the called race, God said Abraham was his friend and because of their friendship, he (God) would do nothing without informing him, we see an example in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18.20-33), Abraham earned this by spending time with God in prayers, the account said Abraham always built altars of prayers to fellowship with God.
In Amos 3.7, the bible teaches God would not do a thing without revealing it to his prophets, he has set them as watchmen to watch over the sphere (Eze 3.17), so likewise, you are the watchman to watch over your sphere (Nation, family, business, city etc)As believers, we are the salt of the earth (Mat 5.13), that means just as the salt is a preservative, for our sake the earth is preserved, you may say am not a prophet but you have the Holy Spirit 1 Jhn 2.27, he reveals all things 2 Cor 2 10-11, he searches the deep things of God and reveals them to you so that you can act on them prayerfully.
Saints, it honors God when we seek out a matter Pro 25.2, because what is revealed is for us Deut 29.29, atimes it comes as dreams, inspiration, burden or a matter of discussion, we must take hold of it and influence things, turning the season and situations around us Dan 2.22. The bible is full of such examples like Abraham, Noah, Enoch, Daniel, Elijah, Joseph, John, Jesus and Agabus. God has placed the earth under our control to bind and loose (Mat 16.19). Join us through the week as we further consider the theme and spends some days in intense prayers. God bless you, maranatha.
