Words of the Ministry:

As we progress in our studies on why Jesus rose, we learnt that Jesus rose for our justification, he rose for our regeneration, his resurrection was for our sonship, he rose to bear his fruit in us, to break down the wall of separation between believing Jews and believing Gentiles, today we proceed with another reason why he rose which is to exercise his power through us. During the earthly life of Jesus, he was a living wonder, the people of his days marveled about the supernatural power he had, the Pharisees confessed he was indeed from God, the Jews asked one another, what manner of man is this and the apostles rejoiced at his presence, knowing his power was from the father, Philip asked show us the father and Jesus answered, those that believe in me would do greater works because he was to go to the father.

The resurrection of Jesus was the open door to do the supernatural, God made promises to the apostles and to believers today to send the Holy Spirit for empowerment upon believers (Lk 24.49, Act 1.4). This was the third person of the trinity; he was to baptize them with power for effective ministry (Act 1.8). While Jesus was on earth, he was the only man with the fullness of God bodily (Luk 3.22), the Godhead had an intention to make many sons in life and power, our dominion mandate can’t be fulfilled without the ministry of the Holy Spirit and thanks to the resurrection because without the Lord rising to the father, the Holy Spirit of power would not come. Peter that was once timid received boldness, doing miracles, sign and wonders and drawing souls massively into God’s kingdom. The message of the gospel became very easy to preach because the Apostles had power.

The power of the Holy Spirit is for us today, Acts 2:39 “39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call” Some cessation say it has ended with the first apostles as the canon has been fulfilled but far from it as Jesus never said it was to fulfil the canon rather to make us his witnesses unto the ends of the earth, today, souls are still being won, those that the Lord has called are partakers of it, the power of the Holy Spirit is for all who believe, just ask in faith (Luk 11.11-13).  If you have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit for empowerment, please ask in prayers today to be an effective minister of the gospel, may God grant us light.
