Words of the Ministry:

Amen, few days ago we began a journey into the reasons why Jesus resurrect from the dead to meet the demands of God. We did learn that the bodily resurrection of Jesus was necessary to accomplish certain goals in God’s economy, such included our justification, the regeneration of our spirit by which mean God now dwells in us, by virtue of that, we have become his sons and also because we are his sons, we can bear the fruit of the Spirit, we now have dominion over sin. Today we intend to look into another benefit of his resurrection which is the unification of both Jews and Gentiles.

As we study the events of God’s dealings with man after the fall, we would realize that all the old covenant promises of God were predominantly with Isreal, they were God’s choice people, he dwelt in their midst, in the wilderness he was with them in the tent of meeting, then later it was in the temple. We gentiles had a heritage of separation but thanks to the sacrificial work of Christ, we are now brought into the family of God alongside the Jews of faith, we are being built up into God’s eternal dwelling place, the wall of partition has been broken and we twain has been made into one new man (Eph 2.13-17). There is no more Jew nor Gentile, we are now one before God by the indwelling spirit, we are together the citizens of heaven (Phil 3.20).

This God proved by pouring his Spirit on both Jews and Gentiles in the book of Acts with both groups speaking in tongues, by this, the apostles realized that God’s intention was to make many sons from many nations of the world. To break the limitation and separation between the Jews and Gentile, we now have equal access to the promises of God. One major differences we would also notice between the writings in the old and new covenant is that in the old, God is always referred to as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Ex 3.6, Mat 22.32) especially concerning the covenant but in the new covenant, God is referred to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 1.3, 2 Cor 1.3, 11.31). We are now one family of God, thanks to the resurrected savior
