Words of the Ministry
The fall of man as we discussed yesterday had several consequences, it among others made man a slave to sin, sicknesses, and death. In Gen 3.14 God cursed the serpent and permitted him to feed on dust while he also punished man in Gen 3.19 saying dust he is and he would return to dust. The consequence of this is that mankind becomes food for the serpent. So he had the power to torment man with sicknesses, oppress and even kill man. The Adamic man was a slave to satan.
Thanks to God for the redemptive work of Christ, Christians have been set free from the bondage of Satan, through salvation, we have been reconciled back to God. Salvation of Jesus affected the three parts of man (1Thes 5.23), in the Spirit salvation is called regeneration. In the soul it’s called sanctification and deliverance while in the body it’s called healing and glorification. The sacrificial work of Christ is a complete package for all who believe.
We see a mystery, mankind once bound by the fear of sin and death, by accepting Jesus as their lord and savior gets free. The bible said we were crucified with him; it means the old me died with Christ on the cross so the me that was subjected to Satan died. The effect of this is that the ancestral curse that I struggled with in my old linage also dies, my old man was nailed to the cross, by this, my nature has changed from being a mankind to a Godkind, my linage is no more from Adam but God (Jhn 1.13).
From our memory verse we see the redemptive work of Christ is for sins and iniquities, his bruises were for our healing. It is a done deal, the same verse reported by Peter reads “1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed” KJV. We can see that the tense was changed to past tense meaning it’s a done deal. By the stripes of Jesus not only was the blood shed to forgive you, his body was bruised for your healing and in his death we also died with him.
Dear saints you need to firstly realize he came to set you free and that healing Is part of the redemptive work, some erroneously teach its spiritual healing but the bible contradicts that view as it states in Matt 8.16-17 that he healed the sick and delivered the oppressed to fulfill the same prophecy. The same God that forgave you also delivered you, the same God that delivered you also healed you. Only believe, amen.
