Topic:  Why we should praise God

Today’s Reading: Rev 21:1-4

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. KJV

Words of the Ministry:

Saints, today we conclude our lesson, we have seen the power of praise from different perspectives, we have learnt that we were created to praise God, that praise leads to supernatural intervention and provision, it helps our focus on God and makes us humble. We said praise is a medication and an antidote to complain and negativity, our praise encourages other saints, and that praise is a way of honoring God.

Today as we round off, I would like to state why we must praise him looking at the futuristic revelations of the bible and considering our life experiences.  Should we reflect on our past, we would all agree we have either directly experienced and seen people with situations that seem irredeemable, looking so bad that one may feel that is the end of the road only to see God intervene after some days, months, weeks, or a few years. Looking back at our attitude when the crisis was raging, many of us were full of nagging and complain, should we have known God would intervene this way, maybe we would have had a better attitude. That is the circle of life experiences, as believers we must learn to have a proper attitude at times of trials when things are rough knowing full well that things would certainly get better because God says so.

From our text above, we see the conclusion of our future, God has a plan for the saints to live with him forever in peace, where there is no more pain, struggles and sufferings, death becomes a thing of the past, neither is there persecution nor sicknesses. Paul in 2 Cor 4:17-18 said “17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”. I like to emphasize that in this world we would suffer persecution but knowing it would end as a testimony, we must have an attitude of praise as we go through trials, Knowing that our future is secure and we would be with God in perfect harmony forever. Praise the Lord.
