Words of the Ministry:
Amen, this week we would be considering a very familiar subject, commonly discussed among Christians and non-Christians. It happens to be public enemy one as even our culture detests it. A number of happenings around us has been blamed on this week’s theme and an average African can tell you his or her experience as a captive of witchcraft wickedness. This week we would be looking at what witchcraft is, how people get involved, some scriptural examples, their judgement the way of deliverance, and how to enjoy dominion. We would notice from our theme that it is not dominion over witches or wizards but witchcraft, we intend to not only uproot the power behind the evil of witches and wizard but seeking light from the word of God.
The bible gives at least 2 definitions of witchcraft, the first is obvious among us today in which case we define witchcraft as a power or force with which a witch or wizard operates. The male persons are called wizards while the female persons are called witches. It is a secret power that enables an individual to carry out evil against another person, city nation or item (Nah 3.4). The second definition of witchcraft (wizard and witch) is in Gal 5.19-21, it is the work of the flesh as a result of an un-renewed mind, notice the letter was written to Christians, we can therefore say some Christians have witchcraft, in this situation, a born again acts or lives like a witch, when this is heightened even in a Christian, such persons could contact evil spirits that facilitates their agenda.
The word witchcraft (Wizard/witch) is seldom used in isolation. It is mostly combined with familiar spirit, sorcery, fortune telling, palm reading, Spiritism, star gazing, rebellion. All of these are same and from the devil. You may look up the following verses, Lev 19.31, Lev 20.6, 27, Deut 18.1,10-12, 2 Chro 33.6, Isi 8. 19..
