Life Capsule for Today                                 Date 30th June, 2024

Theme:  Principle of sowing and reaping (1)

Memory Verse: Gen 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Topic: God’s word is reliable and trustworthy

Today’s Reading:  Gal 6:7-10

7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

8  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

10  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Words of the Ministry:

This week we would be considering the subject of sowing and reaping which many know as seed time and harvest. Whole majority have limited the application of this principle to money and material items, in the course of this week, we would come to realize that everything we do is a seed and whatever happens to us is a harvest. As we study along this line, we would then learn to properly categorize our experience to those which are rewards from God, those which are harvest from our deed and those which are attacks from the devil. The idea that all evil that happen to us is generally caused by the devil or all good things and sometimes bad things are caused by God is absolutely strange to the scriptures as God has made room for seed and harvest, what a man sows he would reap

Form today’s reading, we immediately see something striking with our memory verse, it says seed time and harvest and not seed time and harvest time, so while our seed sowing time is known and specified, the harvest time is not specified. That is another way of saying that because you haven’t seen the harvest doesn’t mean it won’t come and at the same time it also proves that harvest may come several times over and over be it good or evil, we must therefore  be very careful of what we sow From today’s reading also, we see that there are actually two kinds of sowing, one is to the flesh and the other is to the spirit with each given the appropriate harvest as at when due, one to corruption i.e would be destroyed and the other to everlasting life.

Dear saints, we must be careful with our seeds, in the course of the week, we would be seeing the various kind of seed people sow and the consequences of such in our days and in years to come. God is not mocked, you may be able to buy your way with lour pastor and live a pretentious life with your spouse but definitely you would reap what you have sown. What our guiding principle should be is, this seed am sowing, would I love to reap same, would I want my children to reap same or would I be comfortable to have same in 100 folds? May the Lord grant us the grace to sow the right seed. Peniel Encounter comes up today by 4pm, please come early, invite family and friends, shalom.
