Words of the Ministry:

We have been considering the secret place of the Almighty, we said from our memory verse that we can conclude that God has a secret place, only a few know it and there are lots of benefits attached to dwelling there, yesterday, we looked at some examples of secret place dwellers and highlighted a few of the benefits they enjoyed. I must say here that God is a Spirit as the bible teaches (Jhn 4), so while we were able to highlight some examples in the Old Testament, none of them portrays what God had in mind concerning our relationship with him in the secret place. Some of the examples we saw were of individuals who had a short-lived experience while others enjoyed God only when they prayed, as we would be seeing in the week, God’s idea of secret place dwellers is not a part time thing, his intention is that we live in the secret place, not just visit as in the temple or tabernacle or at the hours of prayer. Today we intend to look at our perfect example of how to dwell in the secret place, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus was indeed a man that dwelt in the secret place, he knew God and dwelt in him. He said the miracles he did and the word he spoke is from the father, it was not arbitrary, he didn’t just want to show, he only did the will of the father because he knew what the father wanted done at every instance. We see instances where he healed the sick and raised the dead, some were left not prayed for or healed like the other folks in John 5, he healed a certain man and left other, in verse 17-21 of the same chapter he told the Pharisee, he can do nothing of himself, he only does what he sees his father do. That is what it means to be in the secret place, God showing you his will and you enforcing it on earth. Isn’t it funny how many things we can do without God; the son of God could do nothing without him Jhn 8.28-29 but we can do a lot without God provided we have a lots of money and the applause of men. Our successes are measured by social media penetration and public acceptance and  not necessarily how pleased the father is with us. Concerning Jesus, the father was well pleased.

Jesus taught the woman about the holy spirit in Jhn 4, he said, if she drank the Holy Spirit (living water) she would never thirst again, In Matt27. 45-46 and Jhn 19.28, we see a similar story but the emphasis was different, both were concerning the death of Jesus death, Mathew reported he was given vinegar and John recorded he was thirsty, when we juxtapose the passages, we notice that Jesus said he was thirty before he gave up the ghost. Jesus was thirsty just after he said father why have thou forsaken me, to be thirsty here suggested the departure of the Holy Spirit, the living water and that was why he gave up the ghost, for Jesus, he couldn’t imagine living without the Holy Spirit. Since he was thirty, the Holy spirit rested on him and remained, he was so conscious of the holy spirit that when a certain woman with the issue of blood touched him, he knew the Holy Spirit in him did something. He was a man that knew God in the secret place, his day-to-day living was determined by the indwelling God. How many things does the Holy Spirit in you do without you knowing, how well are you conscious of God in you, may God grant us light?
