Rev 21:22 -24
21 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Words of the Ministry:
Saints, today we come to the conclusion of our theme stewardship of our bodies. We have learnt that our bodies are the temple of God. Today I want to emphasize on God’s intention for our bodies in eternal future. From the story of Adam in the garden of Eden, the bible said the fall of man made man fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3.22), that then suggests that God’s intention for man was that man should attain glory. Glory being the expression of who God is and in this case outwardly through our lives as light. While considering the topic, our bodies is the temple of God, I did say that just as the temple has 3 parts, the outer court, the holy place and the holy of holies, so is the human body having the physical outward body, the soul and the spirits respectively. In the Old Testament temple, the holy of Holies had no light unlike the holy place where there were lamps and the outer court that was lighted by the sun and moon. The Holy of Holies was lighted by God shekinah that comes down within the curtain.
In previous lessons, we also said the new Jerusalem which is an organic city is made up of all the saints, this new Jerusalem is God’s building, a mutual abode for God and man on earth, As we read the book of revelations, we then see that the ultimate goal of God to glorify the saints, to express his indwelling life outwardly through them eventually comes to pass, for instance John saw a vision in Jhn 4.3, The Apostle John said he saw the image of God like a Jasper stone and in Rev 21.11, the bible said the new Jerusalem, that organic city also looked like a jasper stone meaning the image of God and of man looks exactly the same. Not only that, as we read today’s bible reading. The bible said in the New Jerusalem has a shape of a Cube (Rev 21), the only other object having the shape of a Cube is the holy of holies in the temple. So the new Jerusalem is the Holy of Holies and just as God’s shekinah was the light in the old testament holy of holies, God is also the light in the new Jerusalem with the while city being the holy of Holies, In other words, the saints becomes the dwelling place of God and God is shinning as light through them, that is the goal of glorification fully accomplished, with the lamb and the father being our light.
Dear saints, we can see from our lesson that God indeed has a goal for us, our bodies has a destiny, we are not our own and we must do all we can to please God with our bodies. May the Lord grant us light. Our monthly Peniel meeting comes up tomorrow Sunday by 4pm at Embraze Event Center Opposite Tipper Garage, Byazhin Kubwa, Abuja.
