Today’s Reading: Rom 8.11

1Cor 6.19

19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Words of the Ministry

Yesterday, we saw that by virtue of Christ in our Spirit, we are the carriers of the blessing, we did realize that all the saints are actually pregnant with seed of glory. Today I like to proceed by considering another benefit of the indwelling Christ. My emphasis today is on Christ dwelling in us, not only in our spirit but also in our bodies. The bible is a wonderful book and the more we explore it, the more we realize the glory within it. While many may find it easy to agree with Christ in their spirit, they find it difficult to agree that he is also in their body. God’s goal from eternity past has been to saturate man from the spirit to the soul and finally to the body. In 1 Cor 6.19, the bible says he is in our body. Yes, your physical body is housing the God of the universe. You are not just a regular man, you are a VIP, carrying God around. That was what Jesus meant when he said destroy this temple and it would be rebuilt in 3 days (Jhn 2.19-21). As a result, always tell yourself when the fear of  sudden death comes that no man can eject the God of the universe from his temple.

What then is the implication of this. Our salvation affects the 3 parts of our being, in the spirit it is called regeneration, in the soul it is transformation and deliverance while in the body it is healing and glorification. By virtue of Christ in our bodies, we can therefore expect healing and glorification (Rom 8.28-30).  From the first reading we see the apostle saying the spirit that raised up Christ from the dead quickens our mortal bodies, that then suggests that it was the Spirit that raised the bodily dead Jesus, the same Spirit in you would not only glorify you as Jesus was glorified (Mat 17.1-5) but it would also give you a bodily healing as need be. It then suggests that the saints should be experiencing a miraculous bodily healing from sicknesses, cuts, viruses and even amputation, body parts should be growing out, tears and cuts should be miraculously healed, even the holes in your teeth should be miraculously filled. It means that the we have a natural age reversal system within us. It also makes us realize that longevity should be a natural occurrence for the saints.

Saints, we must renew our mind to expect the above before we experience it. Adam sinned and never ate of the tree of life that was to make him live forever and it took him over 900 years to die and from then age began to reduce, it is therefore expected that as we believers are saved, having eaten Christ as the tree of life, we should have an elongated life span. It should be common to hear that science has realized that those that believe in Christ live above 1000 years. Our communities should be known for longevity because we have Christ in us that fights the bodily effects of sin, sicknesses and death. I like us to read what Jesus said at the tomb of Lazarus  loud to our hearing   John 11:25-26, 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? I also like to ask again, do you believe? May the Lord grant us light. Join us on Sunday the 31st of August for Peniel Encounter, shalom.
