37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Words of the Ministry
Concerning the impending judgment on mankind, no one is too young or old, no number is too few or too much. The Lord compared it to the days of Noah, only few righteous were saved because they were the only ones that accepted the gospel of Noah, both the rich and poor were judged by the flood, they were all destroyed regardless of status, affiliation or connections, the young and old died regardless of their age. My emphasis today is; we should not be selective. The aged and the youth needs Jesus, the rich and the poor needs Jesus. We have no excuse before the Lord, a man that is not saved is not safe.
The return of the Lord that would commence the clock to the eternal destiny of all men is imminent; many have said it’s not possible considering the length of time it has taken already but when one looks at the passage Mathew 24.37-44 and the comparisons the Lord made between the days of Noah and ours, we would agree it should be expected. He said many were marrying and feasting until the flood came, so shall the Lord’s coming be. The bible in Rev 20:11-15 the bible reads “11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” NKJV
Dear saint, that is the destiny of the unsaved young man or old man in your neighborhood. That great man in your village would stand before God so would that poor peasant farmer also stand before the judge of the whole world. Jesus commands us to start our ministry of reconciliation from Jerusalem, our Jerusalem is our home. Dear mother if truly you love your children, you would do more than cooking good meals, you would show them the cross, the way to eternal life. Dear husband if you love your spouse, her salvation would be your daily pursuit, your number one prayer point. Dear Church, it’s good to have a large congregation but how many of your members are born again, the standard is clear, except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God (Jhn 3.3). Nothing can replace the new birth, not baptism, church attendance, seed sowing or prayers, the new birth is to have the life of God in our Spirit, it is to turn away from your life of sin to live in righteousness. Your pastor may make you comfortable but the bible is clear 2 Tim 2:19 “9 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” NKJV
