Words of the Ministry
This week we would be applying a life capsule to our Christian Walk, the capsule is commonly referred to as the heartbeat of God, the main aim of Jesus’ sacrifice, our primary assignment and some even call it a global ministry for Christians, that is the ministry of soul winning. The bible makes it clear that God loves the world and made a sacrifice of his son to save those that believe from sin, Satan and death. It is a wonderful offer made available for the fallen sinful man but the offer can only be enjoyed when one believes.
That is where you and I come in, a vast majority of us find it difficult to win souls, we are less bothered about the destiny of our neighbors, God has placed us where we are, at that place of influence to share the good news of the cross that Christ died to save mankind. In the the week, we would be looking at the subject of soul winning more elaborately but we like to emphasize today that soul winning is a duty we must carry out, we would give account of the opportunities we had and how we used them for the Lord.
Many find it easy to discuss their business, proposals, ambitions, their problems or even gossip their neighbors but find it difficult to discuss Christ, we make an excuse for our audience that they may not be interested, they are busy or won’t even accepts the Lord’s offer, this attitude only shows we are in a backslidden state. When most of us got saved we loved to share the gospel, we loved to give out tracts, our Christian and salvation experience was top our discussion list. As the years went by, many have backslidden, they don’t shine the light, they only think of what the Lord would do for them.
Do you know you are a watchman (Eze 33.1-6) in your family and you would give an account for your unsaved spouse, children, staff, friends, colleagues, driver and students? If you have been saved from hell, why not save others too. How happy would you be to see your colleague in hell while you make it to eternity with the Lord, if truly you love him or her, it’s time to shine the light, tell them of the love of God and the danger of hell.
