Topic: Prayers for our families
Today’s Reading: Ps 128:1-3
Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. 2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. 3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. KJV
Words of the Ministry:
Today being the third day of our prayers, we would be praying for our family and loved ones. It is God’s pleasure that we live a life of peace and joy with our immediate and extended family. Looking at the prevailing situation in our society, we can easily conclude that all problems are traceable to the family as the family is the basic building block of the society. The devil therefore tries to afflict the family and the more families he can bound, the greater his eventual influence in the society.
Various forms of violence in the society could be traced to poor parental care and training, many times, parents are not there to show love to their children, such children grow up not appreciating the need to reciprocate love. The way we train our Children matters to God so much that it is a pre-requisite for leadership In the Church (1 thim 3. 4-5), so likewise the way our children behave to elders and their parent matters so much that it determines if they would live long and have a good future (Eph 6.1, Col 3.20).
Shall we say the following prayers and add a few as the lord leads us:
- Let us pray against the evil tide of wickedness, sin, immorality ad worldliness in this last days, let pray that it would not afflict our family and loved ones.
- Pray for the unity of purpose, peace and love in our family, pray for the grace to bring up your children in the way of the Lord.
- Let’s dedicate our children and love ones to God, lets trust God that they would not go the way of Cain but be kingdom ambassadors, those unsaved, let’s ask God for a supernatural encounter
- Let’s also pray for supernatural release and provision to meet our daily needs and to help those around us.
- I like us to pray for God’s intervention in home currently under siege and bondage of the devil. Those suffering from divorce, unruly children, drug addiction, poverty, infidelity etc.
