Words of the Ministry
Adam was blessed and commission by God to have dominion over all he created including devils and demons, unfortunately because of the fall of man, man could not accomplish this as he gave his right over the earth to Satan, not only that he became powerless, losing his authority as his authority was tied to him being in God’s image and being in fellowship with God.
The victory of Christ at the cross stripped the devil off his authority over believers, the bible says “18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth Matt 28:18”. KJV, hallelujah, Christ stripped the devil of his power over believers. By this Jesus regained what Satan lost, he secured it for us that we may fulfil what Adam couldn’t do.
Jesus instructed the disciples to wait for that power, the promise of the father (Act 1.4,8) they were to receive it when the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity comes upon them. To do what Jesus did, to do miraculous signs and wonders, to be in charge, putting demons and devils under control, we need power. To carry out the great commission we need the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit when he comes upon us endues us with power and the prove of this is effective witnessing, most time it also manifests with a gift of the Spirit but we notice all through scripture that whenever men received power, they witnessed powerfully in other tongues, in their mother tongue or through any gift of the Holy Spirit . The purpose of the Holy Spirit upon us is to extend the Kingdom of God on earth making his will done and making the devil have no place, as a result, to witness Christ is to say thy will be done on earth, it’s to share a gospel that turns a sinner to a saint and to make demons and devils jobless. Hallelujah Christ lives in me and I have power over all the powers of the enemy.
