Words of the Ministry:
This week we would be looking at a certain Christian experience that believers must have at certain times through their journey with the Lord. I chose to start with the sentence to firstly establish the fact that certain times in our lives, it seems God is silent, far away and we are all alone although the bible teaches God is always with his saints. At certain occasion, it looks as though we have been left alone to face the challenges of life. Have you ever genuinely sought God over a period of time concerning certain matters in your life and it seems God is silent, it could be your business, marriage, education, spiritual guidance etc? when such happens what should be your attitude towards God, what are the several reasons why and what are the organic lessons we can learn from it?
Many times, when we have such experiences, we are bothered and a lot of voices tend to speak in our heads, we may want to blame our character in the last few days, the devil brings condemnation, we may delve towards self-righteousness or even blame God a times. When at such crossroads, everything may feel tiring, prayers, fasting and fellowship may appear like a mere monotonous activity. If we are not well guided, we may even begin to doubt the word of God saying it may not be true after all, this tends to affect young believers more because they aren’t really used to the ways and workings of God.
Dear saint, one of the very many emphases of this ministry is God’s organic salvation, how God works himself into man with the word and our several experiences. As believers, we must trust God and his word not when we feel as though he is there but because the word of God is true. Join us within the week as we explore this subject, trusting God for his light. Please share the devotional with family and friends. I like to specially invite you to our last Peniel Encounter for the year, the theme is The Integrity of God’s word, Shalom.
