Life Capsule for Today                                                                          7th July, 2024

Theme: Divine Health (1)

Topic: Salvation for the 3 parts of man

Memory Verse for the week: 3Jn 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Today’s Reading: Isa 53.4-6

Isa 53:4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Isa 53:5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isa 53:6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Words of the Ministry

This week we would be considering one of the several benefits of the atonement which is divine health. Within the week, we would be learning that God’s intention is not that we get healed but live in divine health and instead of seeking healing, we are meant to be ministering healing to our dying world. The bible talking about the fall of man made it known that man fell not only in the Spirit,  making him need regeneration but also in the soul which turned to the self and in the body which became flesh. The fall of man affected his three parts and made him a food (Gen 3.14,19) for the serpent. Consequently, in the body man was not only bound by sin but also sicknesses and eventually death.

As we study the New Testament however, we come to realize that God’s took care of the fall of man completely addressing the Spirit, the Soul and the Body. Jesus’ death on the cross took care of our sins by shedding his blood, his chastisement was for our soul

And his stripes were for our bodily healing. We can therefore say what we call salvation means different things to the three parts of man. To the Spirit it is called regeneration, God as Spirit being added to the human Spirit. In the Soul it’s called transformation and deliverance where our previous self is being renewed and transformed by the word of God while in the body it is called healing.

Jesus did not only go through the torture of his soul, the shedding of his blood and bodily stripes, the bible said he also died physically therefore bringing a total end to the old creation. In other words, our deliverance is total making us a new creation that could live victoriously by faith through Christ. Join us within the week as we dig deeper into the plan of God for every saint which is divine health and not just divine healing.

Please keep in mind our once-a-month physical meeting coming up on Sunday the 28th of July, 2024. Shalom.
