Topic: The Lord’s Prayers for kingdom Manifestation
Today’s Reading: Matt 6:8-10
8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. NKJV
Luke 17:20-21
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say,’See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” NKJV
Words of the Ministry:
Yesterday we saw the ministry of the Holy Spirit within us, how he reveals the thought of God to us, making us have one mind with Yahweh Sabaoth. Jesus speaking about this said we would do greater works by seeing greater things, in other words, as the father reveals more to us through his Spirit and his word, we would do greater works and bring greater glory to God. Today we intend to further study the matter of the Lord of Host by considering the prayer as thought by the Lord Jesus normally referred to as the Lord’s Prayer.
Reading our text, we see the Lord guiding the disciples on the way and manner to pray, what should constitute their prayers. We would notice that while the prayer was relevant and applicable to the disciples before the death and resurrection of Jesus, most aspects of the prayer is already being fulfilled as we would be looking at one of such which is thy kingdom come on earth, which meant thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus gave this guideline to the disciples in Mat 6.8-10 but when answering the question of the Pharisees, he said, the kingdom had come already and is in their midst. He was referring to himself the king of the kingdom.
What then is the Implication of the kingdom coming, to get a good grasp we would again need to read Luke 11:18-20 ” 19 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they will be your judges. 20 But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you”. The implication of this statement when we juxtapose it with our today’s reading is that when the devil is bound not having his way in the plan and economy of God, the kingdom of God has come. So we see in Jesus a man who was in the kingdom, because the devil came and found nothing in him, also the devil had no place to exercise his dominion with him and around him. For us to really pray thy kingdom come on earth and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, is to bind Satan, sin and sickness, through our authority in Christ and the cooperating power of Yahweh Sabaoth.
All through scriptures, for the kingdom to come, the saints must arise to take things back, for God’s will to be done in your home, you must take it back by force. In Rev 12:9-11 “9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” Here we see a future event where the devil and his angels would be cast out permanently from the heavens to the earth and it was said that that is what it meant for the kingdom of God to come. It means the devil has no place both in your living and in your neighborhood, it means to give the devil no resting place to perpetrate sin, sickness or death. As sons and armies of Yahweh Sabaoth, our only goal is thy kingdom come, may the Lord grant us light. This week Sunday by 4pm, we would be having our April Peniel Encounter.
