Words of the Ministry:
Halleluiah Saints, this week we would be considering the theme “Don’t Give Up”. We would be seeking God’s counsel concerning our day to day life troubles. For many believers, it at times seem their challenges began when they gave their life to Christ, while other celebrate testimonies, they find it difficult to share one and when it seems as though a testimony is on the way, something else shakes it off. Many saints had the impression of a better life free of trials and temptation once they are saved, it now seems like an irony for them to say they have found rest in Christ only to experience daily temptations. Life could be challenging like this at times and we must face the reality of today’s world. The world is fallen, and the prince of this world would do everything within his reach to make it unbearable for the saints.
As we would see from the life of some bible characters and bible teachings, temptations are allowed to prune and groom us. We would be seeing that while God doesn’t want us to suffer, he must allow it for our growth in life, but he is faithful to ensure we are not tempted beyond our ability 1 Cor 10.13. That may come as a surprise to many as they would want to quickly say what I am going through is beyond me but I like to inform you that God in us is faithful to see us through as it would all end In praise. All believers that are faithful must face temptation at one time or the other in their life. The devil is never happy with the saints and the Christ within them. The battle that began in Genesis to the cross was against the seed of the woman Jesus Christ and now that we are the many sons of God and the same Christ dwells in us so we automatically become the enemy of Satan.
By way of introduction, I like to encourage you that you should hold on to your confession of what the word says regardless of your experience. Tough times never last but tough people do. Just like you look back at other victories you have had in the past, so would this come to pass also. Jesus in the Lord’s prayer said do not let us fall into temptation and deliver us from the evil one. The evil one is the devil and his pit is temptation, he likes to ensnare us in the pit of temptation but we must like Jesus pray, deliver us from the evil one. We have a great cloud of witnesses which we would be considering within the week. Join us daily and share the devotional to family and friends. Keep in mind our once a month physical meeting holding next Sunday the 28th of January 2024 by 4pm. Shalom.
