Topic: The glory after suffering

1 Peter 1:6-7
:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Rom 8:18
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. KJV
Words of the Ministry
We conclude this week by looking at the end of the matter: glory. Suffering is never the final outcome for the believer; glory is.Paul helps us place things in perspective by comparing present suffering with future glory. The conclusion is that no suffering can equal the glory that will be revealed.
This means suffering is temporal, but glory is eternal. What you are going through is not your destination; it is your passage. Peter also explains that trials refine faith like gold is refined by fire. The goal is not destruction but purification.
Every believer must therefore learn to see beyond the present moment. If you only see pain, you will lose strength. But if you see glory, you will endure, the fellowship of His suffering always leads to the manifestation of His glory. The cross always precedes the crown.
As we conclude this week, may the Lord strengthen our hearts to endure, and fix our eyes on the glory that follows faithfully after suffering. I like to close with this admonition in Heb 12.2, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. May the Lord grant us light.
