Topic: Our bodies as the Kingdom building Blocks
Today’s Reading : 1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Rev 21:1-3
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Words of the Ministry:
The matter of building is another central thought in the bible, as we read through Genesis, we see the Lord building a garden for man, within the garden was the tree of life (Gen 2.9), the tree of life was representing Christ who is both the vine and source of life. After the fall, we see another building project, a major one done by the fallen man, the tower of Babel (Gen 11-1-9 ), the intention of fallen man was to build the city to touch the heavens. The rendition touch heaven may not portray the original thought as what the original thought was that they were to build a tower which was to be a city where men could relate with heavenly bodies, fallen angel and spirit, theologians believe this tower had names of many gods written on it at each level so the tower was a portal, it was to be a means to gain access into the realm of the Spirit. Man having lost God’s legitimate means to realte with heavenly bodies sought a way around it by building Babel. The same Babel runs through human history and finally consummates in the book of revelation as Babylon which is both religious and political.
On the other hand, God had remnants building his own city and temple. We see the tabernacle in the Old Testament and then the temple in the city of Jerusalem. Later we see Jesus as the reality of the temple in the New Testament. In Jhn 14.2, Jesus said in his father house are many dwelling places or abode, that is a more correct translation of the Greek word used as mansions as there can’t be several mansion in one house, more so verse 10 makes us understand that where Jesus was was in the father so what he meant was that he was to bring us into God’s building as his dwelling. To start the building, the bible said Jesus was made as the Chief corner stone Eph 2.19-21. By so doing, he Jesus has made us living stones for the building of God’s City and temple (1Pet 2.5). As we read further the book of revelation talks about the Holy City, the new Jerusalem coming down from heaven adorned as bride to meet her husband. (Rev 21). This city is an organic city, it is an organic city made up of the saints as its building block.
Dear saints, the matter of building is not a small matter, we see from the Old Testament, in 1 King 6.7 “The stones with which the Temple was built had been prepared at the quarry, so that there was no noise made by hammers, axes, or any other iron tools as the Temple was being built.” GNB. The building of the temple was a type, a figure of the reality, the account said all materials were prepared ahead of time at the quarry, there was no cutting, breaking or forming at the quarry, same applies today, in these world , we are going through certain persecution, it is God’s way of making an breaking us so we can fit into his building. The sufferings and denials we experience is the work of hammer and axes being used by the world as allowed by God to make us fit into the city of our God, the New Jerusalem. For us to be worthy of being used for the building of God’s city, we must bear these current light afflictions as it works a greater glory in us, may the Lord grant us light.
