Words of the Ministry:
We have learnt from our previous lesson that Adam fell and could not fulfil destiny of being in the image and likeness of God, he lost shekinah and eventually he died as God said. The sin of Adam did not only affect Adam but all the descendants of Adam, Rom 5.12 says death reign from Adam to all of humanity as we all came from him, regardless of the family we came from, be it white or black, we are from one source Adam and Eve. Rom 9.23, we all sinned and fell short of the glory of God, in other words, through the fall of Adam, all of humanity never attained the height of Glory God ordained for man. Today we intend to look at God as a God of glory and to further emphasize the need for man to be filled with God’s glory.
After the fall of the created race, God started working on the called race with the head of the race being Abraham, Abraham was said to be a friend of God. When God was to introduce himself to Abraham, he said he was the God of Glory, Act 7.2-3, He introduced himself to Abraham on their first encounter because he wanted Abraham to know something about him and that was his glory. This he did again with Moses, Moses must have learnt that God was a God of Glory so he asked God to show him his glory, after that encounter, the bible records that the Israelites could not behold Moses face. Isiah had a revelation of the throne of God and heard the seraphs praising God saying his glory filled the earth, All God’s appearances and relationship with man shows him as the God of glory.
Jesus during his earthly walk was said to be full of glory Jhn 1.14, on the mount of transfiguration, Jesus revealing himself to his apostles was blazing glory and in revelation 4, When he was to leave the earth, he prayed to his father to give the same glory he had to his disciples Jhn 17.22, we see the Apostle Johns report saying God was blazing in glory like a jasper and sadius stone. Glory is the expression of God, all he does is glorious, he is the God of glory and wants to dwell in man as Glory making us vessels of glory. In our next lesson we would be looking at how God through Christ began a journey with man to actualize this goal of glorification. Keep a date with us and share the word. Maranatha.
