LIFE CAPSULE FOR TODAY                                                                DATE: 26th JUNE, 2026

THEME: THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERING (6)

Memory Verse:

Phil 3.10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; KJV

Topic: Suffering as a divine assignment

Today’s Reading: John 15.18-20

18  If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20  Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

 Words of the Ministry

Many believers have embraced the privilege of believing in Christ but struggle with the idea of suffering for His sake. Yet scripture clearly shows that both are gifts—faith and suffering. This does not mean God delights in pain, but that He uses it as part of our assignment in a fallen world.

Paul and the apostles understood that tribulation is part of entering the kingdom. This means that resistance is not a sign of failure, but sometimes a confirmation that you are on assignment. When your life begins to reflect Christ, opposition may arise—not because you are wrong, but because you are aligned.

Suffering for Christ refines our motives, purifies our dependence, and strengthens our witness. It separates convenience-driven believers from conviction-driven disciples. We must therefore reframe our understanding: not all suffering is evil, and not all ease is divine approval.

As we grow in this understanding, we become stable believers who are not easily shaken by opposition. The bible said those that would live Godly would suffer persecution and Jesus even said you would be hated by the world just as he was hated, in fact it should bother us if the world always agrees with us in all that we do as it is not a normal situation, our assignment is to disrupt the kingdom of darkness and further the kingdom of God, to this, the devil and the unsaved would want to resist as light has no fellowship with darkness. May the Lord grant us light.
