Words of the Ministry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week we would be considering a very deep and often misunderstood subject in the Christian faith, which is the fellowship of Christ\u2019s suffering. Many believers are more familiar with the power of His resurrection than with the pathway of His suffering, yet scripture presents both as inseparable realities in the life of a mature believer. Just as many would quickly identify with the saints being the bride of Christ but wonder why we are also to wrestle as soldiers, so is this weeks topic, as we are familiar with the fellowship of the spirit, we would be seeing that the spirit is doing both a subjective and objective work in our lives, in other words, we would be seeing how not only his resurrection power translates us but also his suffering, making us one with Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Christian journey is not only a life of victory, it is also a life of identification with Christ in His sufferings. To know Him fully is to embrace not only His miracles but also His pressures, reproach, rejection, and obedience under pain. Many want resurrection power but avoid crucifixion experiences. Our memory verse makes it clear that Paul desired something deeper than blessings or ministry success; he wanted to know Christ through fellowship in His sufferings. This tells us that suffering, when rightly understood, is not meaningless\u2014it is a place of knowing God in a deeper dimension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When trials come, many believers assume something has gone wrong spiritually. However, scripture says we should not think it strange. In other words, suffering is part of the Christian landscape. It is one of the classrooms where Christ is revealed to us and formed in us. Jesus Himself was perfected through sufferings (Heb. 5:8). That means suffering is not a sign of absence of God, but sometimes the very place of His forming presence. As we go through this week, we will understand how suffering produces maturity, endurance, obedience, and spiritual depth in the believer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us therefore open our hearts as we journey into this truth: that fellowship with Christ is not only on the mountain of transfiguration, but also in the valley of Gethsemane. Amen, Join us next week Sunday the 28th of June for Peniel Encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
