Words of the Ministry
Today as I come to the conclusion of this week’s lesson with the theme Christ in you. Please if this is the only part you are reading from the weeks lesson, I advise you read through the last 6 days to have a wider view of the subject. Today I like us to conclude by bringing the matter home. One of the very many reasons Christ went through incarnation to become a man and lived on earth was to show us the kind of man God intended us to be from the beginning. The bible said he is the first born and we are his many brothers. The term Christians as firstly used by the gentile in Antioch (Act 11.26) was not to suggest little Christ rather men and women like Christ but in the plural, persons that adhered to the teachings of Christ and lived like him.
The same spirit that dwelt in Jesus that made him live beyond human limitations dwells in you, you have the spirit to liberate your world from the clutches of darkness just as Jesus did, the same spirit, the same power and the same authority. Jesus was the light and you are the light today, as the father sent him, so has he sent you. From todays reading, we see that the world is waiting on us to shine the light of the glorious gospel, to push back the works of darkness. Be it sin, sickness, satanic oppression, poverty or death, we are to shine the light as our destiny is to be like Christ and as we become like Christ, we bring Christ to the scene. When Jesus walked on the earth even the wind and plants obeyed him. Saints, now you are in his shoes as many sons of God, Christians with the promise of doing greater works (Jhn 14.12).
Why keep your world waiting, for how long would you give excuses. Why should the bible be a story book in your days, when would you step up into sonship. How would the knowledge of God’s glory fill the earth if we keep making excuses. The word is in your mouth, he has given us his name and at the mention of his name the master Jesus comes to the scene. Our memory verse says, there is a mystery in you, it is glory and God is wanting to make it known. The scripture says the knowledge of the glory of God shall fill the earth as water covers the sea (Hab 2.14), it means the glorious Christ in you would express himself through you until everyone in your world acknowledges Christ is in you. Why wait, why give excuses. Lunch out today to manifest the Christ in you in the hospital, schools, market places, among your friends, etc. Christ is our life.
